Another Fizzy Beer

Well, we’ve got another fizzy American beer. Better tasting than most mega-brews, but still a mega-brew. I guess I’m just spoiled, but it just didn’t do it for me.

Samuel Adams Winter Lager

Samuel Adams Winter Lager is a nice little beer. Pleasantly dark copper color, a nice aroma, and a tiny little hint of cinnamon. Not bad at all.

A multitude of random thoughts

I don’t have enough to say on any particular topic to warrant individual blog posts, so I’ll combine a bunch of little tidbits together into a single post, which I’ll helpfully put into a list format:

  1. According to an article that appeared in Friday’s newspaper, the owners of Bella Trattoria plan to re-open their fire-damaged restaurant. Eventually.
  2. The electrician has installed temporary electric service to my lot. So we’ll be able to run our power tools. Yay! Excavation should begin today or tomorrow.
  3. I see that the Hollywood writers have gone on strike. Considering the quality of stuff coming out of Hollywood these days, I doubt I’ll notice the difference.
  4. Considering the fact that I’ve raked leaves four times in the past week, and the trees aren’t even half done dropping them, I’m seriously thinking about getting a Gingko for my shade tree at my new house, due to the rapidity with which that species loses its leaves.
