Wow.

Let’s get one thing straight: I like Scottish Ales. I like them just as much as I like a good English bitter, or a Bavarian Weisse. I’ve already written about the lovely St. Andrew’s Ale from Belhaven. Tonight, I had Belhaven’s other, more well-known, offering: Belhaven Scottish Ale.

It poured a beautiful red color with a thick, creamy-looking head. It had a slightly yeasty aroma, but a very well-balanced taste. Very smooth, very refreshing. Just the slightest kick at the finish. Almost, but not quite, as good as the St. Andrew’s Ale. Go buy yourself a case or two today.

The Geminid Meteor shower will peak on Thursday (December 13).

The Voyager 2 spacecraft, in passing the termination shock into the heliosheath has shown that the solar system (at least in terms of the solar wind) is “squashed” or “dented” by the galactic magnetic field.
