Millstream Colony Oatmeal Stout Lager
Hm. A stout-style beer made with lager yeast instead of ale yeast? Wouldn’t that technically make it a schwartzbier instead of a stout?
Who cares?
Millstream’s Colony Oatmeal Stout Lager is a great beer. I normally prefer Imperial Stouts to Oatmeal or Dry Stouts, but this is a beer that can hold its head up proudly with the best Imperials. It was extremely well-balanced, with not-so-subtle hints of chocolate and roasted coffee.
Or, to put it more simply: yummy!
