Michelob Bavarian Style Wheat

One of the nice things about giving beer as a Christmas present is that the recipient will usually share with you. I gave my dad a Michelob Specialty Ales & Lagers Sampler Collection, and he let me try one of the Premium Heritage Bavarian Style Wheat. Anheuser-Busch advertises it as an “all malt brew,” which I take to mean that it’s not cut by rice or any other inferior grains. The ingredients list bears this out, claiming barley malts and wheat malts.
It’s a nice homage to a Bavarian hefeweizen. Golden, cloudy, with a generous head. It has the typical hefeweizen aroma, and a somewhat sour taste. Not bad. Not bad at all.
