Observations about yesterday
Yesterday was New Year’s Day. Historically, it was the 200 years to the day that it became illegal to import slaves into the United States. It was also 145 years since the Emancipation Proclamation went into effect.
Yesterday was really, really cold. Too cold to go out and try to put a roof on my house. (Today is really cold too.)
Also, yesterday, the Illini got the butts handed to them by USC in the Rose Bowl.
