99 bottles of beer on the wall
Sunday, January 13th, 2008This post marks the 99th post in the Beer category. So, to mark the occasion, I’m going to review one of my favorites.

Hacker-Pschorr Weisse is a lovely hefeweizen. It pours a lovely cloudy, dark golden color with the generous head typical of hefeweizens. A pleasant aroma of bananas and cloves greets the nose, while the beer feels substantial but not thick in the mouth. The taste is hardly yeasty at all - in fact, one local pub serves it with a slice of orange. This beer lacks the sourness that you sometimes get with a Weihenstephaner.
All in all, a great beer.
