Accident

Friday, March 14th, 2008

I passed what looked like a nasty traffic accident on my way in to work today. One that resulted in 2 fire engines and one police car being called to the scene, blocking traffic on the corner of 2nd and Carpenter in Springfield. It apparently involved a large black SUV and some sort of sedan. The SUV’s front end was completely crumpled up, and the vehicle itself was on 2nd Street facing perpendicular to the traffic. One of the corner traffic lights was lying on the ground, and many first responders were gathered around something (or somebody) lying on the ground.

Hopefully, no one was seriously hurt - but if there were injuries, a hospital is only a block away.
