Landscaping

I’m trying to work on the landscaping at my new house. In preparing to plant grass seed, I’m working on installing plastic edging. Over the weekend, among all the gatherings, parties, and social events I was expected to attend, and while also unpacking and setting up things, and while also going to buy essential items, I dug a trench throughout my yard which I will put the edging into. I’ve also begun to stake the edging into place and backfill. It’s a tedious process at the best of times, but the heat and humidity make it much worse. Still, I’m making good progress.

Once I’m done installing the edging, I’ll fire up the tiller I borrowed from a buddy, and till up the soil. Then I’ll rake it smooth, add starter fertilizer, and then plant the grass seed. And then it will be about a month of watering.
