Brewing Status
A summary of my brews thus far:
- Cherry Melomel – Gone!
- Brown Ale – 1 bottle left
- English Bitter – ruined and discarded
- Spiced Christmas Ale – serving
- Lemon/Orange Melomel – serving
- Scottish 60 – in Secondary
- Cherry Melomel – in Primary
- Pomegranate Melomel – in Primary

Actually, I’d like to brew two different Belgian Dubbels. I’d like to try to clone both Westmalle Dubbel and to clone Schlafly’s 2007 Belgian Dubbel.
I was just reading the BJCP style guidelines for a Belgian Blonde Ale, and was struck by how similar the Patersbier recipe is to a blonde. Just a couple of small differences in ingredients keep Patersbier from being considered a blonde. Sorry, I thought that was interesting – but what would you expect from a beer geek such as myself?
